Spidey's third outing is slick, spectacular and thankfully doesn't take itself too seriously. Click for our verdict, the trailer and tell us what you think.

Shit yeah. Not worth going unless it's IMAX. Normal cinema is like going back to normal telly from HD.

I saw it last night and was very disapointed. Yes, the special effects were superb, but the plot was extremely badly paced. I think that it was a mistake to have three supervillans - there was too little time to do them all justice, more superficial than supervillan. The 'Venom influenced' Peter Parker was embarassing rather than either funny or interesting, and Mary Jane just came accross as winey, self obsessed and shallow. The New Green Goblin didn't seem to realise that it isn't normal for your father to keep hi-tech weaponary in a secret part of the house - if this had occured to him, it might have cast doubt on Osbourne senior's supposed innocence. As for the Sandman's rational for a life of crime... the less said about that the better - he could do with reading the 'Responsibility' thread on here. I couldn't empathise with any of the characters, and as a result didn't care whether they lived, died, were forgiven or reconciled. I just hope the same downward spiral doesn't engulf the next Batman movie.

I loved it! I think that there were too many bad guys and the film couldn't give each of them enough time to develop but that's really about all I thought was wrong with it! MJ came across well! She has her own life, feelings and ambitions and I though the way the film handles Parker's ignorance of those showed just how much of a burden his alter ego was putting on his life!
As for the new Goblin, he had psychotic episodes so the fact his father kept hi-tech weaponry in the house probably wouldn't really register that much!
Great film! It achieved almost everything it set out to do! It's a Hollywood blockbuster and was brave enough not to stuff itself full of fights and action scenes. Good job!

I thought they balanced the three villains pretty well...especially as their storylines were not entirely bound up with them being villains. I definitely prefer it out of the three movies so far.

I think a lot of the "quality" press has been ever so pompous about it - it is a load of fun with just enough depth without trying to be Hamlet or the greatest story ever told. It's faithful to its genre and delivers the goods. So if you want to see an enjoyable blockbuster then go and see it.

I enjoyed it a lot.
