Nah no really. He is in the music industry, he is in a band. Plenty of drugs avaliable there. Just that pete might not be so discrete about it than others. Papers love it because of the kate moss link.

Might have alot to do with the people he hangs about with that he gets caught so much. Be alot easier if he drove about in a black tinted window limo. cops wouldnt be able to see him.

The thing which annoys me about the media with regards to Doherty is the amount of disgust and ridicule he is subjected to. I don't think that is a positive message to addicts, and I think is a bit sad really.

My problem with this is the same as most peoples -
If it were anyone else he would have been jailed by now.

He may not be stealing but he is flaunting the law.

The fact that some music journos seemed to think that he was the 2nd coming and built him up as much as they did hasn't helped.

He is even more irritating than Kurt Cobain was and that is saying something

I may be being a bit judgemental with this but heroin usage is a choice, you have to choose to take it and it is hard not to know the risks when they are so publicised.
He is a junkie, he knows he is a junkie and he is making no serious effort to deal with it so why should he be spared jail?
If he was less loved by the press and shown for what he actually is it would help.

I lost any sympathy for him long ago and the stunt when he sprayed his blood at a camera during an interview just angered me.
