We were supposed to watch Pirates last night but ended up seeing this instead. Was a very long film, almost three hours! But immensely enjoyable film. Considering it starts in late 1960s and ends in 1991, it packs a lot of story in. I originally thought it would focus mainly on Jake Gyllenhalls character, but it also shows us how the case potentially ruined the police officers lives involved. Was riveting and horrific.
The ending was somewhat frustrating, but I guess that's what real life is like - not everything gets wrapped up and solved in a convenient way. My friend was really annoyed with the film and hated it - he would rather have seen Pirates, claiming cinema is for big CGI films and that films like Zodiac should be seen at home. I disagree.

This was on Sky last night and it's well worth your time. Great performances all round - Robert Downey Jnr in particular. The plot gets involved towards the end but it's easily as good as Se7en.
