Rafael Benitez was last night given the full backing of Liverpool's American owners to launch a major Anfield overhaul. Where are Liverpool weak?

I think we need a long-term successor for the centre backs.

A new right winger and a 20 goals a season striker. I cant see how that side would fall short after that. Our defence is as strong as any, our central midfield is as good as any, we just need more width and a bit of extra fire power.

Goalkeeper superb.

Defence is solid as a rock.

Mashcerano, Sissoko, Gerrard, Chubby all world class.

Wings are shaky... Pennant is good but he isn't the scariest in the business and we need greased lighting with a cross to shame Beckham. Left wing... is it possible to be better than Bolo... eh yeah. Riise is excellent but he is a defensive player. Gonzalezzzzz.... let's move on then shall we.

Up front... ok now we hit the root of the problem. As Shuts said... we need 20+ goals a season strikers (2 of). Crouch is good and I reckon he will give us good goals next year... but he needs to be up near 20 or more and we need someone else such as a young Mikey Owen.

Now we have the money, I would be happy with any of

Torres
Villa
E'Too- as long as Gerrard and Carradonna give him a slap and tell him any ego means he is on his arse.

Simao would be a great signing.

As for the left sided players? Difficult one. I like Duff, I think he would be a great signing. Pretty cheap too.

Agree with your signings although not sure on this one...

He is gifted, no doubt about it, as is Harry Coool but he is also a little fragile to my mind... not sure he has it in him to play at the highest level again.

If he has then he could be really good.

I am just thinking back to his Chelsea days when he was a regular in two league-winning sides. That was only season ago.

He is quick, he can dribble, cross and score. I think injuries may have taken some of Harry's pace. I really like him though, and hope he can find soem form again. It would be a shame if he didnt, as he arrived as one of the best players there are.
