This probably sounds really horrible of me, but there is something not quite right about the McGann's reaction to Madeline's disappearance. I know that we can't expect a textbook reaction from them, but they seem to be holding things together very, very well - would a parent not be distraught if their child went missing?
Maybe I am just cynical....

In front on the cameras they maybe acting brave, believing that Madeleine would be found; however, they may react completely different when behind the cameras.
They know that at a specific time, for x amount of minutes, they will be talking the media; hence, being prepared, but at home and when outside the public their reactions are not timed. Even at a friend's house they may react differently then at home; at home, they must be hating themselves over what has happened.
They must have gone over that day a millions time, if only they did this instead of that, etc.
