Hmmnn.. it's interesting that No. 10 is now saying it doesn't apply to the Lockerbie bomber, and that Blair appears to have taken no account of the fact that he should have consulted the first Minister of the Scottish Parliament, as this is a matter which comes under the authority of the Holyrood parliament, since the trial was under Scots law, for a crime in Scotland.
Funny how after the recent elections in Scotland all the Unionists were predicting that Alex Salmond would be the one to provoke conflicts with London, and yet the first major issue is a result of Blair riding roughshod over the parliament in Edinburgh. I don't suppose we should expect anything different from New Labour!
