Exam candidates will have to score 90 per cent to achieve the new top grade in A-levels and will not be able to re-sit to improve their marks, it was announced yesterday. Good idea?

it just means they'll make the exam easier and dumber

better to have a hard exam that makes you learn above and beyond what you need to know.

i resat quite a few of my a-level modules, it just meant I had to learn them twice, so they got better committed to long term memory (just don't ask me about chemistry :)
