Festival supremo Michael Eavis claims this year's crowd was too "middle aged and respectable" and plans to attract more nippers next year. Something to do with £100 plus entry fee perhaps?
I don't see the problem? Having older people who are more respectful and won't trash the place with their extra money to dispose of is really not a bad thing.

Not many teens or uni students can afford £100+ for an event.
Not just the film but the combined crush of taking a year off and everyone wanting to get in to this year's. Bit of a Ratner comment there...haven't braved the net lottery, but would be cool to go before I was 40. Once I hit that age, I'd be happy to leave it to da kidz.

A couple of years ago, a mate gave me her weekend tickets for Reading as she couldn't go. By the time we'd managed to find somewhere relatively dry to camp - amongst a load of cars:-( and got to the main arena, we felt like we would have been less noticeable if we'd donned fluorescent jackets and started picking up litter instead. The average age was about 16.
We watched The Darkness, waded back to the tent, slept, packed up in the morning and went home, flogging the wristbands on the way out! Won't bother again.
We're off to the Rock & Blues this weekend, excellent lineup and always a good do for any age. We're probably giving the Cambridge Rock Festival (previously known as Rockinbeerfest) a try this year as they also have a good lineup, but the biggie commercial ones, forget it:-(
