It's Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. But it is brutal. One slip and your ankle is pulled out.

Which is rough when he has you in a wrist lock!

That is how good these guys are!

I missed this, and forgot to tape it!

I'd have loved to have seen Brock Lestner step into the ring and fight someone. That's like Toby Maguire thinking he can walk up the side of buildings or that guy in Superman thinking he can jump of a skyscraper and fly around a bit just because they used to pretend to do those things.

Silvia is also one of my favourite technicians, so I was looking forward to this one too.

Have to look out for the repeats. If anyone catches an advert for one, give me a heads up!

you surely can't be suggesting that wrestlers don't really fight... how dare you!

Of course not. In fact I reckon UFC would benefit greatly from some fireworks, coloured spandex, and incoherant rambling prior to every fight.

Well brock was a champion wrestler. A very good one apparantly. But he was fighting Frank Mir. Brock landed some bombs on Frank, but frank just lay on his back and hooked Lesnar in really easily. Knee bar, tap, bye Brock. He was very humble in defeat and that warmed me to him. He's a beast of a man and could be a contender.

UFC fighters are all soft, just like kickboxers. Any real boxer would kick their asses and send them home in a sling!

big softies :-)

There was a reply on Bravo 2 last night! I'm a bit late for that though sorry, I guess it'll be on again over the weekend

The silvia- Noguera fight was insane. Silvia is about 7 feet tall, sort of a thai boxer/boxer, serious striking power. Noguera is about 6'2 and a BJJ supremo. Nog got hammered, but managed to submit silvia. It was a great fight. If you can break someones leg/ankle/arm, pull limbs out of sockets or make them unconscious, they can't fight. That's what BJJ is about.

I caught the Silva - Noguera fight last night. Silvia summed it up pretty well after the match when he said Noguera takes a beating for the first two rounds then catches you off guard with a submission. The way he locked on that choke was awesome, great fight
