And me!

And I wanna moan about my savings too... :(

I don't think the lenders will alter their rates on mortgages.

I keep reading about those poor souls whose fixed rate mortgages come to an end this year.

I'm one of those poor souls! :(

Thankfully Halifax haven't been total ripoff artists and have passed on every cut as well as every rise. If they started playing around like that I'd switch in a heartbeat once I got a job.

At the moment the banks want two mortgage payments in arrangement fees, I'll take the ups and downs on the variable rate and won't complain when it goes back up again.

why are you a poor soul?

mine came to an end when rates were at their highest so my mortgage repayments shot up by £100 per month. They're are slowly coming down now with the rate cuts, which is always good.

Well I got a good two year fixed rate, nowhere near what is the 'best' rate being offered now - and my mortgage payments are nearly a grand a month as it is. I can't really afford a massive hike!
