get your form checked; get someone to spoty you then bench away. Stop being a pussy and reverting back to smith machine cus its easier ;-P

its not like your using the slow 5/5 cadence like you were on the DC routines so theres nothing to be embaraced about when asking for a 'spot'

If you read my post properly, you will see I said I might go back to the Smith machine, and wil give the free benh another go next week. :-P

Greg made a useful suggestion about dropping weight, and increasing reps til I feel happier, and my bod adjusts to it - will give that a go!

Well, am away this weekend, and it has been celebration of my new job time (and also spending money I have yet to earn! haha)

On Friday night we went out for a meal, and had the full three courses accompanied by champers, and then last night was fish n chips and champagne again! lol I also got tempted by ice cream yesterday afternoon, but the rest of my diet has been ok, and there is nothing in this house to pick on inbetween meals, so am safe there!

That's my 'fessing up done! (Please don't diet bash me, everyone!)

Fish and chips and Champagne?! Lol. They only serve Tizer and Coke in my local chippy!

Well done on getting your new job Ben.

Keep up the good work when you get back.

Did you ever measure your bodyfat?

Yep, should be able to. There is a Total Fitness, and it is near-ish to the area that I have my eye on living in, so no probs there!

haha - nopes, the champagne was my wedding present to them! And we thought we would be gastro and have it with fish and chips. Quite possibly the biggest portions ever, we could have got away with two lots between the four of us! So, a lot was fed to the cat/went in the bin :(

Cheers for the job wishes, and will be back to the gym once I am back ooop north. Have got my stuff here, so if I can find a pool, I might go swimming tomorrow.... And, nopes, didn't get my bf% measured...

But, I found some old pics from 2005 or 6, and I was probs at my leanest then: my stomach was not fat, at all, but I just wasn't up on all things fitness then! Ah well....

I would quite like to be in shape for September, as I am going on a stag do, and there will be a few of my old schoolie mates there. I know they will be out of shape, so would be good to be buff! lol

There is no gym progress to report from my last visit last week. However, I did go for a cool-off and 30 lenghts this afternoon in the pool

Diet wise has been much better being away from home, as my friends do eat very well, and healitily! No cakes at all :)

Monday we picnic'd by the Thames on stuff from M&S - mezze selection, salsa, tortillas and vegetable frittatas, and then evening meal was pasta followed by strawberries and a splash of cream.

Yesterday was a bit of a shocker, as I had late brekka of muesli and wholemeal toast and marmalade, and then a paninni at about 6pm :-O

I know Phoe will arse kick me for saying this, but the next couple of weeks are going to be gym challenging: I am away in London for essentially three days next week, and then will be starting my new job (if I don't have a house, then I will probs not have time and be too knacked to attempt to gym it, which will be a pain) Will have to see how things go, and look on the optimistic side! lol
