Well I haven't done great either. I may even be going backward on DD progress :S

I reckon you should aim for 1 gym session a week then, concentrate on just compound moves - bench press, squat, deadlift, bent over rows. Aim for 6-8 reps.

You're going to have to do your best to keep eye on diet, at least stay away from cakes and evening chocolate snack. good luck!

ta!

I will try my bestest, and if the driving does become a reality, then the gym after work might be an option in order to miss the traffic, but then eating will become a 'mare...

I hate all this uncertainty in my life! I don't do well without routine :-/

This will be the best test of your dedication then! I had a really bad week last week at work, but even tho I wasn't in mood to gym it on friday, I DID have the time that day and made sure I went! But as you say, you have to be realistic and 1 session /wk may be all you can manage for next few weeks.

Oh, btw, my neighbour thinks I am 'filling out' - how should I take that one?

a) getting fat
b) getting muscley
c) she is 70, so her eyes are not as good as they were!

OK, I have been so hopeless this last few weeks, and this week coming is ot going to improve... I haven't been to the gym since the last session (way up ^^^ there somewhere!), and my diet has been haywire - last weekend was a drink and eat fest: so much champers, two lots of hogroast and chips on Sat at the wedding, then Sunday I had a croissant and a bowl of soup all day as I was so hungover.

This week, lunches have consisted of Boots sandwiches and then a couple of nights I had chicken with pasta and a tomato sauce, one (lush) meal out with pudding and two mornings at Pret with coffee and croissant :-O

I did find the gym last night (after much getting lost as I thought I knew where I was going, but obviously didn't!!), and it is a bit skanky compared to the one in Lancaster, but there seems to be a decent amount of kit. So will get back to it, in the next couple of weeks. I was too knacked to do a workout yst, so purely went for R&R in the sauna and pool areas.

On a more positive side, I went to one of the rowing clubs in Chester on Wed night, as they are running a nowt to novice course for 8 weeks: now, obviously, I am not that raw, as I did row at school, but I intend to go along to the sessions for two reasons: one, it will give some focus to some form of fitness (they do on the river training, and then run circuits in the boathouse a couple of evenings a week, int he winter) and it seems to have quite a lively social scene too (which will be good for getting to know some more people in my new location)

Ben! That diet sounds terrible! Fair enough with the weddings etc, but enough with the croissant and coffee . Croissants are lovely, but they are evil - hardly fill you up but drowning in fat :(

That sounds good, I bet if you keep going you'll prob be much more disciplined as it's a team thing so automatically more social.
