You have hit the nail on the head for my argument there. I don't like drugs, and if they were made legal, there are many would not touch for the health effects, but it still should be MY choice, it should still be the individuals choice, not a societies.

I don't think drugs are worse then alcohol, but I think some drugs and alcohol are comparable in health effects and social standing.

Who decides what I can and cannot take? It shoule be me.

Without legalising drug taking, it's impossible to judge the number of deaths compared to alcohol or other legal drugs.

This is all beside the point though- as Dan says, I should be free to fuck myself up as much as I bloody well please.

Then we have the drugs which physically are very low risk- cannabis, shrooms. Why not legalise these?

Maybe they need to draft something to let you absolve the public services from helping you after then. I wonder if the government has ever looked at just what it wold take to legalise things like this. maybe it is just too much of a legal and bureacratic hassle
