Should your lat pulldown not be higher than your bench out of interest?
No, not necessarily. We all have different physiological make-ups. We have a different spread of muscle fibres throughout our bodies, meaning we have differing strengths.
The Lat Pulldown and Bench Press are the closest they have ever been in my life! My back is much weaker than my chest usually.
I am chest-dominant, but plenty of others are different.
My colleague can squat 180kg and deadlift 240kg with perfect form, but can only bench 70kg! He can shoulder press two 40kg dumbells. His shoulder press is higher than his bench!
It is just how we are made up.

Interesting - because you always think bigger and stronger means bigger and stronger all round, unless the person has obvious shortcomings in their physique.
Fascinating thing the human body. I was reading something last night about strength training for the 90 plus age group (that's ninety plus) - in percentage terms, they made the same gains as younger athletes.
Odd the sort of stuff I read thses days !

Saw a pic today of the first (and maybe only) guy to do a 1000 lb deadlift !

He looks pretty awesome actually.
He is big, but athletic. He doesn't look like some lumpy, vascular freak.
Similar size to you actually, 6'2 and 16 stone. Probably about 11%bf.

i never understand why the squat world record is bigger than the deadlift world record (at least i think it is)

I'm not sure what current world records are (and not interested enough to google it) but yeah, it doesn't really make sense.
