Anyone into meditation or have any good relaxtion techniques (drug free please!).
You read all of this stuff about being at one with yourself etc etc or is it nature?!
I can imagine really relaxing and letting go could be a really good experience, or am I talking rubbish?
Some kind of buddhist meditation.
I know, easy to laugh at, but I will have a chat with him tomorrow to see what he says.
I like the thought of it at least.
Meditation is fine. I'm sure loads of people find a moment to relax, eyes closed and just unwind (they just havn't named it meditation as such). But the idea of paying someone to help you relax.. just doesn't seem very relaxing to me. I'd be much more comfortable/relaxed at home. No harm giving it a go though.
I went on a course one, Personal Excellence, where the guy who ran it taught us a meditation technique. Was good, being able to sit and clear you mind, but you do need to be so disciplined to make the time in the first place to do it
Another way to relax is with a massage - only had three proper ones in my life (one of which was pretty violent in Budapest!) and the feeling as you drift off, and afterwards is amazing.
I think I need to be taught, although lying in bed and purposely trying to clear your mind shouldnt be too hard.
I will have a chat with the guy tomorrow, no harm in trying, will try anything once. Hes a really chilled nice bloke come to think of it too.

It's all about breathing, from what I remember about the technique I was taught. As you breath in and then out you slowly imagine all the negativity and stress being pushed out of your body, from the centre and out along your legs and arms. As it leaves your body you then become to concentrate harder and harder on your breathing and everything else disappears from around you.
It is good, but quite tiring at first, as you almost fight with your mind to not think about things.
