We'll sort all this tonight. Sorry it was put live half finished, but we've got loads of useful comments from you so no harm done.
What I miss - and htis is from being online for about 5secs today - is that the latest post title bit has gone. Often people, especially in training logs, edit the title as time goes by, and it just makes it easier to use the boards with that feature.

Whether it is just getting to know you stage, but I really don't like this new format. I know it is only a small change, and is still being tweaked, but what is the point of making such a big thing of the star ratings?
Sorry if I sound negative, but I really don't get the point :-/

We started off using full titles for each column and 9 times out of 10 the subject didn't change at all. There didn't seem any point running the same copy three times

It's only as good as the star ratings people give, but let's say someone posted a gem of a fitness tip or a first class video. Unless you were online at the time, you'd be unlikely to see it using the old layout. This way a link is more prominent for longer and you can get directly to the good stuff.
People have asked in the past for ways to highlight the best posts, whether they're by our experts or you guys. We think this is the start of giving you all real power over what goes on here. It's obviously up to you how you use it.
Cheers for your comments Ben. Happy to hear what everyone thinks and take it on board.

Damn you! Waiting in the wings with the facts to prove me wrong! haha :-P

I will get used to it, no doubt!
I must have inherited the 'doesn't llike change' gene from my Mum! (who has a hissy fit half way through the drive being laid last week, as she decided she didn't like the colour of the blocks!)
Also it might be worth collating data on which posts have been replied to the most, as even if they aren;t starred they are the most popular.
That's already there, in the last column. That could be even more useful, if used in conjunction with a number of times viewed feature.

The danger with the star ratings is that it becomes a 'vote for my mate' thing.
I think it would be better to use the hard facts of: most viewed, and most posted on to then generate a rating system.

Well hopefully people will be a bit more sensible about ratings and stop giving stupid random posts 5 stars and 1 stars, and hopefully this will work.

I meant an option to only show useful posts from a thread. Useful being starred or most viewed/replied to.
It would hopefully read like a regular thread, with all the chaff missing (maybe with an option to unhide the posts, so you can examine bits in detail)

Would that be useful? It's not as if the useful posts follow sequentially. OK so it is slightly more work the current way, you have to go back to the board menu and use the dropdown again, but not many posts are starred anyway (except when people have gone mad with the button).
