Robert Downey Jr shines as Marvel's metal clad creation, although the film's a little rusty round the edges. Click for our verdict, the trailer and tell us what you think.

I liked it !

I thought it was quite witty :

Pepper Potts to Stark's latest conquest the day 'after' : "He leaves me to take out the trash"

The suit looked perfect and the fight scenes were just right. And Jeff Bridges is just as terrific as Downey Jr.

Saw this in Newcastle at the weekend. Downey Jr is excellent in it, as is most of the cast actually.

Great script, great effects, and good fun overall. Downey Jr has some brilliant lines in this! Obviously overall it's a very male affair since we like to see big explosions and huge metal things being smashed about, so if you have young boys, they'll love this too.

Good to see Samuel L Jackson turning up at the end as Nick Fury too. He's in every film, and I was beginning to get worried he wasn't going to make an appearence. ;-)

One of the few films that's worth the 7 odd quid it costs nowadays to get in. Blended light hearted comedy, drama, special effects, and action very well for a good all round superhero flick. Highly reccomended.

Love Downey Jr's "It worked for Dad, it works for America" line in this trailer

haha I know eh? he's in bloody everything! The annoying thing is this was the first film I've seen at the cinema in ages and I'd heard about stuff after the credits. We waited for ages and the credits had been going on for a while so thought it was just a rumour and left - thank god for youtube eh :-)

Good film, what you'd expect - but nothing wrong with that at all!

I totally missed Jackson at the end as Nick Fury. When was that? I was glued to it the whole time, or so I thought.

After the credits. Loki found it on YouTube, so give that a go.
