Just helps you make an informed choice, thats all.
Sorry I really did appreciate it and I did read it.... I was mulling it as I responded. I appreciate my response seemed a little dry but I actually enjoyed the piece and it gives me a lot to think about.
Because of my scales and not being sure about my BF% I am using the mirror as a guide. i am happy enough with the fat loss and am thinking about shape etc. i feel I need to lose a little more fat but more importantly I need to grow some muscle on shoulders, neck, arms and chest to create a better shape. I am in two minds currently and as such I am kind of doing a half arsed job.
It is a good half arsed job though... I am in good shape for an ex-fat bloke!
My problem is the idea that the phosphate bonds in ATP or creatine are called high energy, as if they are more potent than other phosphate chemical bonds, when they aren't.
The little I do know about you, your stats, your physical abilities and goals, I would suggest you leave off the creatine once you have finished your current lot (dont want you to have wasted the money!)
This is not some anti-supplements thing, far from it. I just think you ought to shift the flab before you get going on anything else. One goal at a time, so to speak. The creatine is usually associated with muscle building and strength increase, which are not your primary focus right now.
You will have difficulty achieving any major muscle development on reduced calories anyway, so get rid of the fat first would be my advice.
I know how frustrating it can be, wanting to do everything at once, but long term it will be best for your body (and your sanity) if you focus on individual tasks and achieve those goals, rather than (as you admit yourself) try and do too much at once and end up doing a half-arsed job.
Feel free to disregard my advice, but having seen countless people in your position I am basing it on a lot of experience!

Well I am sure that phrase was coined by a marketing expert trying to shift tubs of creatine!
'High-Energy Phosphate Bonds' sounds exactly like the kind of thing that would shift creatine by the boat load!

LOL I was actually referring to A level textbooks. Even some degree level textbooks still mention this nonsense, but yeah you're right it does sound like a good marketing ploy!
I suppose it refers to the breaking of this particular phosphate bond being responsible for muscular movement, suggesting high energy for the body as opposed to high energy at a biochemical level.

You are right of course. My thoughts are now whether to stop the fat reduction. The calipers say 13.5%. I am considering doing a bulk for a while, put on some muscle mass as per earlier and then cut again in about 6 weeks prior to the summer hols.
Other choice is to cut more fat for a few more weeks then bulk.
