Preferably some sweat pant type material, but can't find them anywhere, just for lounging about in.

The only ones I have seen have been in Superdry, A&F, Jack Wills type shops and they are all £40 - 50, which is a tad much for a pair of shorts. Any ideas folks?

I pretty much live in board shorts.

You can spend anywhere between £30-£60 for a pair, but they are super lightweight, dry quickly, look cool on the beach or in the gym and are really comfortable.

the best clothing tip, i've received is checking the website of chemical records, which holds a clothing section at really good prices

biggest problem with board shorts though is the lack of pockets
