If it was Chelsea and or Utd fans in Moscow, UEFA would be looking to ban English clubs game.
After last year's CL final, UEFA were all out and above, doing as much media as possible blaming Liverpool fans about the problems of the ticketing in Athens - even at 9am.
Where the fuck are they now? At least it wiped the smile of Platini's face after watching Zenit win.
Don't be blowing that out of proportion, there were at least 100,000 fans there (roughly) and only 40 arrests!!so there were 99,960 all behaving themselves and I saw several pictures of sheer heavy handedness by the manchester police. The pictures showed earlier in this thread look as if it were of folk trying to calm the police officer down by the looks of it not the other way around and the guy gets a dog set upon him for his troubles.
Pure knee jerk reactions from baton wielding thugs in high vis jackets and riot shields.
Manchester should feel ashamed of their boys in blue cos I know Glasgow isn't.
There were a few mindless idiots that chased and set aboot a cop though I have to admit that as I saw the footage too but to tar the whole firendly crowd with the same stick as those is plain worng.
In a word Sherrit, bullshit. I was at an organised charity event at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester that night. It was a drama evening for adults with learning disabilities. Some Rangers fans thought that it'd have the match on and tried to get in. When we told them that we weren't showing it a group of them pushed past and started shouting, 'Come on, get these spaccas out, we want the match'.
Absolutely disgusting and indefensible. It was our 'boys in blue' that had to come and make them leave the premises.
I think a lot more people would support the Manchester police than the disgraceful 'Rangers faithful'.
Glasgow must be made up of more of the same if they condone that type of behaviour.

yeah he'd got his hands up when he knew he didn't stand a chance but the pics don't show how he was behaving before that. he could have been acting in a threatening manner.
Instead of trying to defend the guy in the picture why don't people ask why the riot police were called? It wasn't because the Rangers fans were behaving. As far as I'm concerned they have scum in their ranks. Listening to a Rangers fan on the radio today he said he couldn't understand why the fans had become violent. He was ashamed to have been in Manchester with them. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who defends these animals are scum too. That includes cowards who say that Glasgow isn't ashamed of them. Absolutely disgusting.
