I wanna get tickets to see Leeds V's Doncaster but they are a couple of hundred quid each. I was toying with the idea of travelling down and trying to buy a ticket at the ground, stupid idea?
You can stay at mine (there is a dress code by the way ). Wembley is only 25 min drive away and you can get to the ground a few hours before the game and try to get tickets.
there will be plenty of tickets left for the Monday game Ste! :-)
Just phoned our ticket office. We were wanting to take my daughter into the ground with us even though she is only 1 but have been told it will cost us £23 for a ticket even though she will not be in a seat.
No idea what other grounds are like but in most of League 2 if you have a real little one you can just lift them over the turnstile for free.
Now got a mad rush to find a babysitter....any volunteers for Monday?
Got my tickets today - 3 for £115.
Place to stay on the Sunday night in London is all sorted and now looking forward to the match.
Just hope Leeds don't trash the stadium the day before :-)
On another note, our manager is refusing to talk to Sky TV - not because they have insulted him or the team recently but because he has a faulty sky box at home and they haven't fixed it for 9 months! Quality.
Back in work after spending yesterday recovering from Monday.
A late change of plans meant I didn't get to go down to London on the Sunday and the missus had to stay at home with my daughter who was ill so ended up driving down on my own. Parked at High Wycombe and got the train to the stadium.
The cold and wet weather didn't dampen the atmosphere and I have to say I take it all back about how the game should have been played up North. Despite there only being 35 000 in the stadium the noise and the whole atmosphere was amazing. Credit to both sets of fans who never seemed to shut up. (my voice is still recovering)
The first half was a nervy affair and when we went 1-0 down I feared the worse (it is a built in reaction when you are a Stockport fan!)
We managed to get it back to 1-1 before half time and a goal early in the 2nd half calmed the nerves. We then managed to get a 2 goal lead and unusually for us we were coasting and loving it. Obviously, just to make it an exciting finish we conceded another but we managed to hold out.
Cue the madness at the final whistle as we finally won a promotion for the first time in 11 years! The journey back doesn't seem anywhere near as long when you have won!
