Well, I think this was never going to match expectations, has been too long a gap between last film and this one, and nostalgia for old films means most people will be a bit disappointed. From what I've heard, it's a decent film but not amazing. Going to go watch it with my dad as we are both fans.

technically that is true for any film, it's whether you value the opinion of the reviewer based on their previous reviews of films and whether you feel they have a valid point.
i think laverty has always been fair about his reviews and whether i agree i actually enjoy reading them, at least he doesn't just love everything.
i want to see this, but will have to wait for the VD 'cos of babysitting issues, so if Mr laverty is free friday me and the missus can get out ;D
