So a club as any number of foreign players which are under contract to them but under these new proposals the club can't play them ?
But as i read the story it mentions that clubs must have at least 6 nationals in their starting line up ! so after a minuet of play can they then bring on the non nationals ? in which case it's a farce......................or am i reading it wrong?

I agree. Its all well and good but what do they expect? Teams to off load 10 players to replace them with a load of homegrown ones? What if they get injured and can't field 6?
Why the sudden knee jerk reaction because the premier league is so strong. No one cared when the Italians and Germans dominated Europe.
What a bullshit. Did we win the world cup from 1970-1990? No. And we had 11 english players per team then pretty much.
Player who are put in the team by default have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to improve or even play well. Our national team would get even worse.
I find it funny that sport, especially FIFA feel that they are above European Union legislation.
They can dress it up whatever way they want, national quota and so on, but it still boils down to discrimination based on nationality in employment.
The only good thing about FIFA constantly challenging the EU is that they foot the bill in finding out where the line is drawn and all the other sports bodies sit back and wait for the precedent.
I hope it is not based on FIFA's and UEFA's current definition of foreign.
Seedorf is a European and playing for a European club; while Kuyt is a Dutch player, playing for an English club (a foreign league).
Kaka and Lucas are Brazilians, playing in foreign leagues.
