I am now watching what I eat and doing as much exercise I can before my holiday in late July.

I have heard that carbs after 7pm (rice, pasta, potato, bread, etc.) are to be avoided?

Although I only eat wholemeal bread.

Bit of a myth that one mate, carbs after 7pm will do you no harm, it's what you eat overall throughout the day

Ah cool. I was eating chicken with salad last night at home while I watched my dad tucking into home-cooked tumeric rice with lentils. :D

Hi Mate

You can cut your carbs after 7pm, and it will work, but the research would suggest it's not because you're cutting your carbs, but because those participants who did cut their overall calories.

You'd actually get better results if you dropped your overall calories, and spread out your protein, carbs, and fat evenly over that period.

This answer Will cutting out the carbs after 7pm help me lose more weight? goes into a little more detail for you.

Ironically (in relation to the question) I've found people get better fat loss results by having a light complex carb before bed, such as a bowl of cereal.

Keep it up!

Anthony
