Happy Fathers Day all you Dads! Hope you have as laid back, enjoyable day as you can.

I feel like a bit of culture so, between feeds, we are going to check out the Henry Moore Foundation at Much Hadham (Herts). It might inspire Natalie's artistic bent although more likely to inspire some sleeping and some dribbling, and maybe even a nappy change*.

I have five cards on the fireplace, the first ones that I ever had from my two children (which the present Mrs McJimmie had to write), plus the first ones that they wrote themselves. These cards come out every year - the 'children' are now 23 and 26 !

We do the same with family birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, Mothers' day or whatever. They are all in a box on top of a wardrobe.

My son treated the present Mrs McJimmie and I to a meal last night, and I have already drank about one third of my Barrs Irn Bru. I'll save the Famous Grouse for Cornwall - the last time Pip and JT5 and I polished off a 1 litre bottle in one evening !

My dad doesn't approve of Father's day..... and we dont really 'do' it in any great sense either although we did weaken a little this year.

Aren't dad's great?

I love mine.

No cards, no gifts... nothing really, but we're rubbish at this sort of thing so I don't mind.. I got a game for the PS3 a couple if days ago so that counted.
