And yet I somehow got by on a student stipend of £13k, although I didn't have to pay council tax. Still managed to pay my student loan off, tho.

Nor smoke. But I used to eat about twice as much as other people and not put weight on! Food used to cost a fortune. Thankfully my metabolism has slowed down to a more normal rate.

If I were to get a 1 bed apartment, to just get by (which includes everything I need to life, bar 'going out') I need £1304.58pm. Hopefully less if I share rent.

how come? you got a breakdown of that. I might be looking to move out in September and was hoping it would be much less than that.

heres my breakdown; although looking back at it I had petrol and food wrong so its now slightly more......

Taxes etc Per year

NI/Tax/Council = approx 4180
Car Tax/ Insurance = 700
Car maintenance/servicing=400
Loan repayment = 720

Total taxes = approx 6000

Essentials Per month

Petrol = 40
Food/Drink = 150
Gym = 40
Bills = 80
Broadband/Sky = 35
Rent = 550
Phone = 20

Total essentials = approx 915 = 10980 per year

TOTAL = 16980 per year = 1415pm.

Richy

Ignore, was looking at the wrong bit.
