After getting my CV torn to bits from Claudio (thank you very, very much), I have stuck my toe in the water and sent it off to 3 employers.
I think one of them is a bit out of my reach, one of them wasnt specifcially advertising and the other hopefully is ok.
I am quite excited. There are rumours at my current work that voluntary redundancy will be offered again next month. I was denied a few months ago, but will go again if it opens. Fingers crossed.
Will keep this thread updated with my trials and tribulations..

Good use of the gerund, though.

Put simply, the present participle used as a noun. Easy, isn't it?

Why didn't you just say so! :-S

Good luck lardy. A friend of mine has just been redundant but is hoping it won;t come into action for 3 months which gives him lots of time to find new job. Its actually a good thing because he needed the push to get him out of a job he hated anyway and he hopes to get a good redundancy package.
If those 3 all say no, do you have more people lined up to send cv to?

Good Luck Lardy. I had to write a reference for a guy at work today, put in the best I could.

I will most likely have to start looking further afield and potentially at contract jobs. Not ideal, but whatever it takes.

Have you thought of using online agencys? Thats where I got most of my leads from. Places like CV-library.
