I was filling in a mortgage application the other day and the woman was really shocked at what I’m paying for my water each month.

Just out of interest, what kind of properties do you guys have and what do you pay?

I want to check I'm not being bent over by Thames Water.

As a single person, you'd probably be better off with a water meter !

Yeah I looked into it but they couldn't fit one because of the way the pipes are in my building or something (it's a block of four flats).

I'm apparently on some low usage service but it's £25 a month for a one bedroom flat!

Well I dont pay here cause I rent, however back home its all lumped in with the council tax (yes i know it has a sep listing) so no idea how much that is, as I don't pay that either.
