I watched another film instead at home, Will Ferrel Semi Pro.... oh dear me... =(

that is another on my "to watch" list...you can see the sort of high brow films I like! Having said that i did watch Rendition the other week. Really enjoyed that one

I like Will Ferrell.... but this really is a tough one to watch, 80's basketball....

I like Will Ferrel too, but Semi Pro's a pretty terrible film!
To be honest though, the only comedy films he's done that I like are Anchorman (which is hilarious!) and that ice skating one (Blades of Glory?).
In America, the audiences are pretty split as to whether he's funny or not.

This film was a bit crap tbh, (possible spoiler below)

The main character is a bit of a twat and everything is too ridiculous and over the top. Bending bullets, bullets colliding mid air, flying people, flying cars. It was just too silly. The most unbelievable thing is that the skinny wench Jolie could beat anyone up. And I saw the Luke/ Vader moment a mile off.

But it isn't the worse film ever in that I wasn't bored watching it, and maybe some people will like it for what it is.

at least films like batman the technology is based on realistic stuff, and things like the car actually work. Wanted fails as you can't suspend your disbeleif, and it comes across as just being stupid.

exactly, it is just too stupid.

Bullets bending and hitting each other.. matrix, batman, well they are based in supernatural environments, and are still more believable than cars flipping over the place by mere mortals.

It just doesn't sit well.

Superman, batman and the like are fun movies, this is just nonsense. A man flying because he is an alien or has supernatural powers or a back pack, is more believable than a man flying because he is a angry and has some adrenaline in him.

I think James McAvoy is SO lovely.

Jolie looks very lollipop head.
