I heard this on the radio this morning.

Why aren't kids allowed to be kids any more? Why do they need to know about sex aged 4? Show me a pregnant 4 year old and I will show you a freak of nature.

I remember we first had sex education in year 6 (is that 11?) and all we did was giggle!

I agree with what he said!

Why is everything aimed at making kids grow up so fast these days? And, how many of us were told as kids to 'grow up'?

The education people need to concentrate on getting kids to be able to read, write and add up properly before they start on all this liberal nonsense!

I remember having the basics of sex ed taught in Yr6, and us having to be taught some parts of it in single sex groups for some bizarre reason - I just remember everyone tittering when they showed the man and woman stripping off there dressing gown to get in the shower naked.

It would all be age appropriate I'm sure.

What we might think of as little ones growing up too quickly, in some sectors means that they'll get SOME balanced information rather than none.

My children have alwayas been over informed probably but I don't notice any ill effects yet.

My son asked me once about the 'special bins' in ladies loos...... he got more information than he needed really.

They were both the acknowledged experts on anatomy and child birth when they were at primary school and since, even, in my daughter's case.

wow

I've never said anything about that ... probably because it's largely a mystery to me too :)

my wife had a hysterectomy last week ... I just told them "mummy needed an operation" and left it at that ...
