I was watching a program on war rationing & they had powdered egg. Cool I thought - no need to keep fresh eggs, possibly cheap etc
I had a look in the supermarket for them with no luck - are they generally available in supermarkets?
Then I went to the web - MyProtein sell powdered egg whites & yolks, but as far as I can tell they can't be used for cooking, only for drinking or adding to shakes
Back in WW2 I imagine they could cook with them & not need them as a protein shake. Just sort of thinking out loud really but any info would be great

Thanks PJ - can this be cooked with? I checked Morrisons over the weekend & couldn't find any, do you know a particular supermarket that stock it?

Thanks CSM101 :-)
My local Tesco has it .
I checked Tesco Online and is not listed, but that is probably because it is not available at every store in UK.
I know Sainsbury's stock it too.

Ta CSM, I'll keep my eye out
Looks like it's more for baking though than making scambled eggs out of :D Looks like I got the wrong end of the stick
