They're our buildings. If we let them crumble, that's OUR heritage that has been lost. The rest of the world can kiss my arse. It' snot up to them what goes on in this country.

Disagree, what if the missing link was found in another country but they wanted to build a car park on it? Ir'd be our heritage and history they'd be destroying too.

Now the liberal bastards are telling how to protect our culture and heritage. Fuck off!

When was the last time they did something 'British' when they were here and I do not mean standing outside Buckingham Palace and talking photos. - probably never.

The very same. So why don't we just tell them to shut their interfering mouths. It's our heritage. We are British. We have more history than half of Europe put together. If we want to blow up a nice building, we can do. They have no say in the matter.

Who would you rather did it?

In its strongest criticism, Unesco's world heritage committee has said it "deeply regrets" the decision by Edinburgh city council to press ahead with a hotel, housing and offices development called Caltongate next to the Royal Mile, despite expert evidence it will ruin the medieval old town's unique form.

What did they use as evidence for that?!
