Thinking of buying some additional CV/training equipment for the home, not really weights, will most likely stick to the gym for those, but am not sure what to actually get... I'd ideally like to do some CV work while watching tv or that, burn those extra calories and that, anyone any suggestions, thinking rowing machine?! Cal burn and some muscle build.

Get a kettlebell. If you piss about with one of those for 10 mins (think swings, clean + presses etc.) you'll be knackered, and it'll improve your fitness no end. More fun and manly than sitting on an exercise bike too :)

nothing beats having an olympic barbell in your front room ;)

kettlebells are useful, but only if you know what to do with them. I find that i don't use them for that much stuff

If you're going to get a CV machine (ideally go with weight equipment but if you're not a fan it won't be much use) get one you'll actually spend time using. Go to a gym and try the various ones out. I've always been a crosstrainer/elliptical fan and a few months ago bought a stationary bike ~ couple of months later, it's slowly but surely accumulating dust. Even if i can watch tv whilst on it, it doesn't give the same buzz as a crosstrainer (like the treadmill minus the impact on the knees). Make sure to take into consideration size of the machine.

Sorry, should have perhaps been clearer, this is really to fit more in with my current gym routine, so I don't want it to be another weight session, its just some nights while at home, later on in the evening, i fancy doing some CV work, but don't want the hassel of getting ready for gym etc, going there and all that, so would rather just have something close to hand, and yes I don't want anything big, it really needs to not take up loads of space.

As mentioned Concept2, but they cost a lot and if you are looking to do at home to complement your gym workout, it will not be value-for-money.

What exercises do you enjoy, you can get yourself a stationary bike for HIIT or even a skipping rope.
