hi guys. i was just wondering, how much would you have to spend on fuel for a 90mile journey??

I put £20 in & it does me more than enough for a 140 mile journey

Ah, well you didn't say that - you just said 'fuel'.

Students should not make ambiguous statements !

About 8p a litre more expensive than petrol, but probably 30% greater mileage, if that helps.

Being so old, I can only do mpg, and I know my diesel car averages 58 mpg

There are a few factors involved.
The type of driving you do (ie motorway or city) and the economy of your car.

My car is terrible economy, I get about 270 miles for £50-55 quid city driving.
So I would be looking about 13 quid. Probably a tenner on the motorway.

i need to get a car with better fuel economy or at least a mpg computer.

i may perhaps need to alter my driving style from my pedal to the metal rally style... :D
