Anything Sony, Samsung, or Panasonic is guaranteed greatness.
Agreed, there;s so much choice around, I really had a problem making my mind up 6 months or so ago. I spent hours reading online reviews & looking in electrical stores. I did the 30 day for £1 subscription at Which, which helped a lot.
I probably agonised a little too much but eventually I got a 32" Sony KDL-32U which I'm pleased with
AVforums are definetly worth a read to see if that bargain TV you spotted was truly worth it. Plus they'll have the best settings for various connection methods for all inds of devices. Made my Samsung look a thousand times better when I fiddled the settings.

That's the website I spent hours trawling, definately worth a look & checking up on any potential TV.In a way though I think it hindered me, I'd read 10 good things about a TV I wanted then I'd read 1 bad thing & it'd totally put me off

That's a good point actually. I admit I ended up spending a good £50 more than I'd truly wanted due to comments/reviews at AVforums. My finger was hovering over the 'buy' button for a Toshiba TV for a good few days before a few comments nudged me towards the Samsung I ended up with.
