So let’s cut to the chase: is Dig Out Your Soul really the best thing the band have done since their swaggering, era defining debut long player? Of course not. But how about since their polished anthemic pop opus (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? Definitely – and there’s no maybe about it..

So its not the best since definatley maybe, but the best since morning glory.
So, its not as good as their first 2 records?

How near as good as Morning Glory?

It is near, I am very excited.

Very near. It's not as immediate as Morning Glory but give it some time and it reveals itself to be something very special. It's not a collection of singles but an album in the truest sense, with a logical flow and should be listened to in its entirety. It's also going to sound incredible live.

I am a massive Oasis fan but I have to say that this album sucks really bad. I'm so dissapponted. It's one of the worst albums I have listened to in a long time.

Be warned

too many pies, oh lardy boy ... so you came back then ?

I'll probably listen to this eventually but I don't expect great things from them anymore.

I don't like pies, it's too many sausage rolls!

Really pants album.

I think the reviewer has gone down the path that as it's a little bit of a different sound it's good. Not so in my opinion, every track is dull. There are no guitar licks, it's a bit status-quo in actual fact. One of my favourite things about Oasis are Noel's solo songs, but on here his voice has a stupid effect on when he sings, it totally spoils the songs. Oasis are at their best when they are raw - this album is over produced. I reckon I could write a better album for them in 1 day.

Ever since Oasis became rich and moved south they have become shite. I only hope Noel is saving all his best songs for a solo career. He's one of the best song writers of recent times but he lets his mates write 30% of the songs on this album. That's like me getting a mechanical engineer to design an electrical schematic and expecting the fucking lights to work.....
