Pass the sick bucket as Adam Sandler returns, farting and grimacing in this charmless and talentless rip off of the great It’s A Wonderful Life. It's quite possibly the worst film this year. Anyone seen it?
Your typical FGFBFG movie. Feel good, feel bad, feel good again movie - aka The Christmas Carol effect.
Didn't deserve a 1 in my honest opinion. There are worse films which should be given that rating. I rate it 3.5/5. The humour and comedy doesn't make you laugh till your chest hurts, but it does make you chuckle. Chuckle moments include the boy next door who tries to break Sandler's nuts (figuratively speaking) by boasting about what his dad has that he doesn't. As you'd expect, Sandler has some smart arse reply/move to dish out.
The hoff plays the boss, and frankly his character annoys me, but provides some laughs as only the overexaggerating hoff can.
Beckinsale plays the wife. Her looks depending on whether it's important to you or not, aren't put onto a pedestal in this movie, so you may or may not be dissappointed if eye candy is what you are expecting out of this movie.
And walken - talks his usual style, which adds to his character's nutness.
One of the things that bothers me is why he doesn't use the pause button.
I mean pause his life, and do the work himself in that time. Rather than fast forward through those months and years. You can get a lot of stuff done when you don't have to worry about time.
Well he could do stuff to Bill, and the hoff in the future, so i can't see why it wouldn't be possible to do a years worth of stuff in a blink of an eye to everyone else.
