I think everyone at some point believes they have a great idea for a book/film/short story or similar.
I did write a short screenplay for my scriptwriting class but that was so awful!
I would like to write a play though someday! LOL!

I'm on to my second novel now, and it has been slow going. My first one was, well, terrible. I just look at it as good practice. I love the process of writing! I desperately need editorial help- and thankfully my best friend is an excellent editor. She has helped me see my weaknesses as a writer.
One of the things that really inspired me to put pen to paper was Stephen King's book "On Writing". Its a no nonsense account of his own personal journey with writing. I would highly recommend it!
