the 360 is suppose to get really hot, and needs an cooler (you have to pay extra for)!
I never get a new console, I wait for a while only getting a 360 this xmas!!
The external power supply does ndeed get hot, but it's never been a particular problem. Just need to make sure it isnt shoved in some tight little spot down the back of your TV stand!
