I'm going to see him this weekend at Cornbury. There are lots of other people on and he's way down the bill but he's the only reason I'm going and I just can't wait!
Hi Jan
I was going to go, but I have to take clients to the Henley Regatta on Sunday :(

I struggle to have any songs that make me think of last summer, apart from Umbrella, -ella, -ella....
The year before there are loads, cos the weather was nice(r), the windows were open and the choons were playing!

I spent most of last summer at bbq's, in beer gardens or just generally drunk so there was always music!
This just came on iTunes as well.....I love putting it on shuffle, you always hear stuff you'd forgotten about :-D

....and, as promised, I just wanted to mention how bloody good Joe Bonamassa is! My feet were numb in my wellies, it had been raining pretty much on and off all weekend, but throughout his set the sun shone and (obviously apart from 'jiggling') I was completely rooted to the spot. What a superb talented guitarist this bloke is.
While at the festival, we heard a couple of songs from the Bangles, and a couple on a side stage from a band called Dead Like Harry but we actually weren't particularly interested in any of the other artists apart from KT Tunstall. We would have stayed for her but didn't fancy a few more hours' waiting and putting up with 10cc, so we got off home. Makes no sense to me to have festivals going on till 11pm on a Sunday night but nowt on the Friday - OK for locals, I guess, but no use to us with over a 3 hour drive to contend with to get home..
If anyone ever goes to Cornbury Festival, be warned that the arena, campsite and car parks are miles apart!

I think this is rather appropriate for me
