Haven't seen it yet but I thought with Hotel Rwanda that we'd finally got away from making every film about white people doing heroic things whilst non-white people are just victims. Disappointed that a film about the Rwandan genocide stars two white British actors. However, I'll go and see it and perhaps I'll change my mind...

Hey Guber. Yep, there's been a lot of controversy surrounding the way the story is told. Looking forward to seeing it though

Not sure I really want to go and see anything that has such an horrific history. As I thought with Hotel Rwanda it seems to a little recent to me. I fully remmeber watching the news and reading newspapers of the genocide. Remember the weeks leading up to it and feeling absolutely helpless after the Presidents plane was shot down and the killing commenced.
I agree that the Rwandan history should be documented, just not sure it should be by Western Film directors and now.

We've just reviewed the DVD so... bump!

I think it's important that the story should be told as well but why not by western film makers? They have the resources needed to do so with the access to sets, financial backing and big name actors that'll get the film noticed.
