I have been playing it for about a week and found an error with Reading.

They start off with 4-4-2 formation and if you score first, the game shows they are playing 4-2-4 but they clearly are playing 4-4-2. This has happened twice now; on the second occasion, they got a player send off and are shown playing 3-4-2, but are actually playing 3-2-4.

Another thing is when you score, the other teams plays 4-2-4 for a while. After scoring, I change the formation before the re-start, the game has left me do this, expect on 3 occasions; just my luck, the other team scored has always scored on these three occasions.
With Championship Manager and Football Manager 2005, once a team conceded, they often play four upfront; however, before the restart one can make changes.

Best to not mention the file transfer.

In addition, one can play the game without a CD. After the game has been installed on the PC, explore CD and open folder "Razor1911", there is a file "fm", copy and paste it in Local C> Program Files> Sports Interactive> Football Manager 2007.
This allows the game to run without the CD.

There's a patch out for several bugs. Plus, changing things only confuses players and you're most vulnerable after a goal...

Plus the editting of the files is illegal. Will might get his hand slapped, if not ripped off...

Will search for the patch.

What I meant to say was after my team scores the first goal I change formation. However, on three occasions the game would not let me for some reason and on all three occasions my team conceded a goal before I could make changes.

When I concede I always change it to 5-4-1, as some teams tend to change to 4-2-4. First time I played Championship Manager, it happened a lot until I realised what to do.

Found another bug with the highlights bar during matches. By moving the bar to right it increase game speed.
The game speed bar was to the far right, but moving the highlight bar to the same location increased the speed further.

Is there only one patch available or several?

ps: if your wondering why I am using the Internet this late, I am also watching the Ashes on Sky Sports.

Just won the Prem with Leeds Utd in my third season! Get it!

I must say, I think this is my biggest achievement on any of the Champ/Fm series! It's so hard to win a game let a lone a title. The key is not to rush games. I only ever play a few games per night, I analyse the other teams and find out their strengths and weaknesses and modify my formation to suit.

Now I'm off fot the Champions league! Will have to make a few signings me feels hope I get some spends!

I signed a few good players recommend here if anyone is interested:-

You must have hated CM4, I remember Leeds went into admin. I was Chelsea and brought six/seven Leeds players for £12m and sold half of them a few years later for profit.

I am playing with Liverpool, won the league but lost the league cup final in my first season. In my second season now, although I have only played three games.

I should have started with Juve, it would have been interesting to start in Serie B.

Did you get promoted to the Prem in your first season? I have looked at the Leeds team and they are crap, you must be doing a good job.

I do not change my formation (4-4-2) much, only if I am against a narrow playing team, then I player 5-3-2, with the defensive wingers running up and down the pitch because that area is free.

In addition, do you find you that more players get more serious injuries compared to 2005 or even CM, during matches and during the season?

If you want to a good younger player, at Portmouths they have a Thai youth player, at the start of the first season he is 15. Play him in the reserves for 2/3 seasons and he becomes a good player or you can sell him off for a large profit.

Cheers JT, I'll have a look at that player.

I got promoted to the Prem via the playoffs in my first season. Bought Naismith and Ray Jones and they did the business up front for me.
Other players I bought when I got promoted where Digard, Hleb (brother of the Arsenal Midfielder), Eastwood, Billy Jones, Sandy, Anelka (practically won the league for me!) and Vincent Enyeama (Awesome GK)

I think I got lucky because Chelsea and Man U were losing lots of games an I just kept winning 2-1, 1-0 etc. It's amazing really as I usually struggle against the big boys.

The previous games when Leeds had no money where aweful! I had to sell all my best players but it was a challenge.
I stated a game with Milan once but I found it really easy and lost interest, Juve would have been a better choice though and I might just have to give that a go one day.

With Leeds I am playing a 4-3-1-2 formation.

Billy Jones is a good player.

Generally, I do not like the other countries because they do not have reserves. I suppose being used to the British system (the game and real life), one expects a reserve team.

On CM4 I would play 4-4-2 or 3-2-3-2 (basically 3-5-2) depending on the team I managed. However, since FM, I cannot work 3-2-3-2 as I like, so I stick with 4-4-2, although I may change if managing a different team.

I'm going to start a new game on this later (with latest update)

Going to choose Liverpool.

Anyone else fancy a Liverpool challenge? Could say first one to win:-
league/Champions League/and both cups.
