After all your nice comments from my initial progress I got a whole new fresh enthusiasm to get me to get down to the gym for week 4.
Decided to go to a different gym to day. No real reason other than to keep it fresh. More of a mental thing than anything.
The back pain has really subsided, so I decided to take a chance and skip the physio (and save 125yo-yo's!).
Done some leg extensions & curls instead of the leg press/squat in the program as I think thats the culprit which caused the pain.
Pain is nearly gone now so I will reintroduce leg press/squat but be more careful in the execution and technique next time round!
So pleased with the response from my pics I will put one up every third week from now on, hopefully with as much progress!

I had similar back pain which was largely solved by stretching. This may or may not solve your problem, espicially if your hams are tight (like mine are).
You don't pay £125 per session for the physio do you?
Loving your weight loss challenge. Lost 12lbs in 3 weeks.
I was hoping to improve my blood pressure level post exercise as I am partaking in a physio study as mentioned in my OP. Any suggestions that won't effect my fat loss?
I have missed two workouts over the past two weeks and I am going to blame exams, work & presentations.
It's just that time of year when everything is due in for end of term. Assignments etc. and the gym becomes second priority.
And working two jobs doesn't help either.
However, I have been keeping a stricter eye on my diet and should be back on form, from Friday onward.(minus exam week in december!)
Damned phsiotherapist study re-measurement is coming up next week too, so have to make sure my weight doesn't creep upward!
Really hoping to surprise them.
If you remember at the start of this post 5 and a bit weeks ago, I mentioned that the weight loss training programme coincided with a physiotherapist study I was taking part in.
Well today I went for the second fitness test.
They clocked me in at just under 15stone, which means I've lost just over a stone in five weeks. Yay me! They were very surprised and said I had far and away lost more weight than the other participants.
My post exercise BP had dropped from 190/84 to 175/81.
And my RHR dropped from 65 to 59.
My grip strength had increased from 120 to 135.
One of the guys was a bit annoyed when I told him the majority of my training was resistance training. He seemed a bit cynical.
Anyway I am gonna get a full detailed report off them at some stage and in the meantime I will post a pic and measurements on Sunday and the end of 6 weeks. But I do know I've added an inch to my calves and an inch and a half to my thighs, so I'm not losing any muscle mass which is deadly!
