I saw the film about a week ago and was in complete stitches. It is perfect the way in which he shows you the racism and views of idiots with some very quick thinking comments.
Granted some things were not really required for this....i.e. the plastic bag incident at the dinner table.
His idea of character comedy is not really that new, after all he did pretty much the same with Ali G in the beginning.
What I found shocking the most was some of the Americans at the rodeo show... there comments etc scare me. Anybody that believes Borat is making a mockery of the people from Kahzakstan is sadly mistake and are either pretty naive or far too politically correct. As for the American students..... they are Muppets of the highest standard and made the bed in which they now lie.
:o)
That's my tuppence worth.

Personally I found the entire movie both funny and yet educational. By that I mean it paints an interesting picture of the attitudes of certain citizens of the US.
For that I think Cohen should be congratulated. The comments from some of these people were infact what made the film offensive rather than the 'character' of Borat.
Could it be that the people now claiming damages are only doing so because of how idiotic they have made themselves out to be. Or is it that they just want to get a piece of the large proverbial cash cow now that the film had become such a success.
