Ofcom is set to annouce new rules on the advertising of food and drink during children's TV programmes, but campaigners are already saying they don't go far enough.
We'll most more details here later but are you in favour of a total ban? We can't help thinking the demise of school sport and wholesale sell off of footie pitches has a lot to do with rising obesity rates too. What's your take?

You can't stop people from being lazy and eating sh it. Unless we move toward a totalitarian state.
As McD's have said, their salads etc don't sell because people want burgers.
I'm all for smokers and obese people having to pay to use the NHS. After all, they are causing all their problems for themselves and its clogging the NHS for people that have genuine needs. If that was the case, there would probably be enough money for cancer patients etc to get the drugs they need (smoking induced cancer excluded).
I think a total ban will not pass due to EC competition law. People just need to accept some responsbility for themselves.
