Hmmm, I saw that Shadow of the Colossus on some geeky games awards and nearly crapped myself, it looks just amazing. Wish it would come out on XBox, but probably not likely...
Oblivion would be top for me, but it is the only new game I've played this year I think. Might be the only game I've played, except fifa 07 on ps2 with my bro.
G.O.W is live enabled. Its actually good fun to play, your either a COG or a Locust in a 4 vs 4 death-match set up. The game actually emphasises team work, the number times of run off on my own only to come up against 4 angry German locusts who promptly dispatch me with the chainsaw attachment on the gun. single player is good and the game demonstrates the power of the machine. sometimes a little repetitive and occasionally the "hug some cover" action button ruins a perfectly good charge into action, but really its the game of 2006. oh the nintendo Wii would be good if you could play G.O.W on it with your own chainsaw attachment to wield.

As tempted as I was to include both of Oblivion (only missing out due to Sin Megami Tensei being the better classic RPG) and Shadow of the Collossus (beautiful game, just like it's 'prequel' ICO) I'm firmly behind the games I plumped for.

Well Scarface was a terrible game in my humble opinion, and I agree with you with regards to Sopranos. As for PES6, as great as it is, it's lost a little of that fun factor with the latest iteration, and simply couldn't be considered one for the top ten. If we'd stretched to 20, then it'd have been there for sure, but not a top ten.
