After a weights workout is it good or bad for your body???

I believe there is no solid research to prove that Sauna provides any benefit regarding muscle growth.
I just get a shower then head off home for a meal.

its beneficial to the reduction of lactic acid left in the muscles.
By having a sauna after a session the blood flow is increased to the body and then a secondary natural cool down is allowed.
mind you no better than if you were to cool down properly in the first place

There are all sorts of arguments for and against saunas after a workout if you look on the internet. Some say it helps blood flow to the muscles, others say it causes you to sweat out all of the nutrients that your body really needs to keep after a workout. Etc etc.
In my opinion it's all about how it makes you feel. If you think it helps you relax and you feel better for it then it probably won't do you any harm, just make sure you keep well hydrated and don't overdo it.

The Romans, Turks and Finns have been having thermal bathing treatments for thousands of years, and it doesn't seem to have done them any harm.
Like most things in life - if you enjoy it, do it. If you don't like it, don't do it; and that applies whether it's good for you or not.

Thermal baths are slightly different to steam rooms in my opinion.
from and hair and skin care point of view, Steam rooms / saunas are kinda bad.
The steam increases relative humidity which makes your hair frizz and messes with hydrogen bonding interaction.
For skin, i think it increases trans epidermal water loss as the temperature increases obviously makes you want to lose water / sweat to cool down. This can dry the skin out and if you don't moisturise properly that can be bad.
