I had a good session at the gym tonight. really quite so jump from exercise to the next.

I decided to have a wee go on the smtih machine, as its normally always being used, although my WO at the mo dont involve the smith machine.

Well i dont know if its because this is a different machine to an original smith machine, but i noticed that on the downward motion of a squat there is very little if any weight. It was only on the way up i felt the weight, so am guessing this shouldnt be the case on smith machines.

i imagined the barbell would just run up and down between to rails, but this one seems to also have rubber cables attached and the ends also. Little dissappointing as the gym does have any barbells, onle Dumbells.

But anyway, nearly the end of the first week at 1600cal and only 8.8lbs from my original goal, although not sure i will reach BF % goal, going by my scales. still to try the calipers for an more accurate reading.

still off the cigs.

Well 2 weeks more to go and weight in this morning..

Mon 18/06/07 204.8 23.6% BF
Mon 02/07/07 199.4 21.9% BF

So i loss of 5.4lbs and only 3.4lbs away from my goal. If the last1500cal cycle is anything to go by i should bypass the goal. Dont think i will reach the BF goal in 2 weeks tho.

Still training away 3xweek. small increasing in the weights, but an increase none the less.

Still off the cigs.

Well here to a healthy mind and body.

Well into my last week. being hard getting the time to update my log. Well i ending up going to T in the Park at the weekend so i missed last fridays workout and yesterdays workout.

AFter been off the drink and cigs for months i had a big big blow out over the weekend. I am starting to feel a little more 'normal' today. be back at the Gym tomorrow.

Although the advise and Wo's made avaliable here is free. am going to be spending a small fortune in getting clothes that fit me. i have held off buying new clothes until i have finished. all my shirts and trousers are hanging off me at the moment. So i reckon i can safetly say i am currrently below my intended goal i set myself weight wise. I will do the last weigh in on monday morning.

Strange looking in the mirror and realising i'm not holding my stomach in.

Well 12 weeks later and a hellava lot lighter.

My goal at the start was to reach 196lbs (14 Stone)
SO this morning i weighed in at 189.8lbs(13.5 stone)

So i got to be happy with that

when i started this log 19/03/07 i weighed 228lbs 28.2% BF
So that a loss of 38.2lbs.

But i did not start the weight training and calorie counting until the 23/04/07
Start weight : 221.8lbs 26.4%BF
End weight :189.8lbs 21.5% BF
So i lost of 32lbs in 12 weeks

Where to go from here? lower the BF improve upper body strength, its never been great. aye think 1 of my new goals will be to be able to do 10 pulls up, that would be a feat.

i have lost 1" from my biceps
4 inches from chest
8 inches around stomach
6" around hips
5" from ass
4" thighs
1" calfs

I would advise anyone to give 12weeks to this. It is straight forward, common sense stuff. simple maths. I never felt hungry the whole 12 weeks. It even comes with nice printouts for the workouts for those of you who are not sure what to do.

Well heres to a healthy mind and Body.

Fantastic work, well done!

If I was you, I'd take a week off, then get back into it. 12 weeks from now, you could be lean and mean! Well, hopefully not mean...

Keep it up!

Week 12 = 189.8lbs

I've had the 1 week off, no gym and no calorie counting and still manage to lose 1.2lbs.

So starting weight for the next 12 weeks is 188.6lbs

Will continue on from wk12 WO of gym rat and continue with 2week calorie cycle of 1700,1600,1600. Though not sure if i should change it.

My goals is to try lose the excess fat i still have. Am not concern with my weight tho. Try and be able to do 10 pull ups. And just try and enjoy life.

Tried to put some pics together, but not great job. Pics are from a Mobile so not great quality and i didnt resize correctly.

Couple are old pics compared to 12weeks and the back shots and that are week4 - week12.

Well i've had my porridge so heading to the gym now.

Hi Mate

Fantastic work! The side poses in particular show you have a good muscular frame, which will look even more muscular when you drop some more fat.

Keep it up!
