When they have sold as many albums as Oasis and sold out as many concerts then they can say somthing, until then they can balls.

besides, I think Noels comments are highly amusing and they are always tongue in cheek, Liams a bit of a knob though and I find that recently his singing is awful. Noel is god though IMO.

Bloc Party are a good enough band, but I think Noel just takes the piss a bit, he's a clever bloke really, not as thick as he pretends to be...

have to agree with both posts above.
They aren't bad, but hardly 'Rock n' Roll' are they? Too many songs sound the same on their first album. Let's look at the first two albums from both bands... I wonder who wins :D
I can think of three songs by Block Party that i liked off both albums. Whereas everyone (worth knowing ;-) ) knows 90% of the Oasis songs on the first 2 albums.
Just a bunch of students who think too much in my opinion.
Noel's a very intelligent bloke and pretty hilarious too. I think i remember Noel saying that he heard Bloc Party on their way up in the world and said he was impressed.
