Widescreen video iPod delayed

Apple hoped to deliver the gadget in April, but problems with the "virtual track wheel" have sent designers back to the drawing board

Forget the tiny screen of the current video iPod, the new device boasts a screen measuring almost 8 cm diagonally.

When it arrives that is. Anonymous sources told gadgets site Think Secret that the virtual track wheel isn't working, setting the release date back to October earliest.

Think Secret reckons that iTunes will start selling full length movies at the same time.
